Robbie Ruth (Buckner) Jones, 82 of New Baltimore, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her daughter’s home.
Robbie was born April 17, 1935 in Cookeville Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Eunetta (Clouse) and Modell Buckner.
Robbie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married Glenn Jones and moved to Michigan in 1951. They were married 65 years until Glenn’s death in 2017. She worked at Helm Inc. until retirement. She enjoyed quilting, gardening at her home in Grosse Pointe Park, MI and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughters Theresa (Charles) Karam and Sheila (Dennis) Doebler; two grandchildren Joshua (Bonnie) Karam and Michael (Stephanie) Kerr and 3 great grandchildren, Audrey Karam, Anna Karam and Lucas Kerr.Robbie is also survived by sisters Barbara Milton and Judy Kirby of Cookeville TN, sisters-in-law, Margaret Buckner and Jewell Jones of Cookeville TN and brothers-in-law Robert "Bob" (Patricia) Jones, Lawrence Morphew of Cookeville TN and Norman(Gwen) Jones of Crossville, TN. As well as many nieces and nephews and Special friend Martha Whitehead.
Mrs. Jones predeceased by her parents, her husband Glenn Jones, brother Howard Buckner and sister Margie Helen Buckner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jones, will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 beginning at 2pm from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville, with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Wednesday, February 7, from 12 Noon until the time of service.
