Doris Marie Ellis, 76, of Cookeville, Tennessee and formerly of Newnan, Georgia passed from this life Wednesday, January 4, 2017 surrounded by her family at her home.
Doris was born April 26, 1940 to the late Lida Mae (Hamilton) and Harley Judd in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Doris was a wonderful daughter, loving wife, precious mother, and role model as a grandmother. She had a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She constantly made others around her laugh and feel loved.
Doris is survived by:
Husband: Charles Lee Ellis of Newnan, Georgia
Daughters: Lisa and Kenny Phillips of Montery, Tennessee
Tina and Clark Francis of Cookeville, Tennessee
4 Granddaughters: Ashley Francis
Hayley and Stephen Crook
Tabatha Steward-Vincent
Brittney Steward
Grandson: Tyler Lee Chosewood of Cookeville, Tennessee
Daughter by another Mother: Angela Brown of Newnan, Georgia
Brother: Gene Judd of Cookeville, Tennessee
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by: Son, Ronnie Steward and Sister, Betty Phy.
Doris chose cremation and the family followed her wishes.
