Betty Irene Henry, age 89, of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her home.
Betty was born August 17, 1927 in Monroe County to the late Mabelle Scudder and Paul Frye.
Betty was a over 70 year Dual Member of The Morgantown chapter of Eastern Star in Martinsville, Indiana and of the Cookeville chapter 152 and a 50 year member of the Social order of the Beauceants of Columbus, Indiana. She retired from First National Bank of Martinsville, Indiana Betty was a member of the Christian faith.
Betty is survived by:
Niece: Linda and Dave Melton of Martinsville, Indiana
Nephews: Roger, Stan, and Chuck Rhorer
Grandkids; Sanjay (Buddy), Sonia (Little One), Jamie (Punkin), Chelsea, Sarah and Kensey
Special Friends: Drs. Satya and Sandi Chakrabarty, Della Hyde of Cookeville, Tennessee, Janice Abel of Martinsville, Indiana and Bonnie Galyan of Bloomington, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by: Husband, Eugene V. Henry, Step-sister, Clara Rhorer, Brother-in-law, William Rhorer, Brothers-in-law, Jay and Russel Henry, Sister-in-law, Bonnie Henry, Niece, Mary Beth Rhorer, Half Brother, Ed Frye and Sister-in-law, Mary Frye.
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with an Order of the Eastern Star Service to be held at 7:00 pm.
Graveside Services for Betty Irene Henry will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Matheney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Cookeville Chapter 152 Order of the Eastern Star Youth Scholarship Fund.
