Obituary for Celia Elizabeth Sieber (Krinbill)

Celia Krinbill Sieber, 87, of Cookeville, TN and formerly of Fairfield Glade, TN. passed away Tuesday morning, April 10th, 2018 at NHC Healthcare Cookeville.

Celia was born March 29, 1931, in St. Louis, MO to the late Carl and Celia Krinbill, and spent her early years in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following graduation from Norwood High, Norwood, Ohio, she married her high school sweetheart, David J. Sieber. The first years of their marriage were spent in Cincinnati where he was studying Pharmacy. They lived in Savannah, GA while David served in the US Air Force at Hunter AFB and returned to Cincinnati where he completed his degree in Pharmacy.

Following graduation from the University of Cincinnati, they moved to Mobile, Alabama where he built Springhill Prescriptions, an apothecary, and lived there until 1969 when they moved to Demopolis, Alabama. While in Demopolis, Celia attended Lurleen B. Wallace School of Nursing and obtained her LPN license and then bridged into the RN program where she graduated with a degree in nursing. Celia spent several years working in the Demopolis Health Department with an emphasis on Geriatric Nursing.

In 1980, she and David moved to Crossville, TN where he eventually began the Prescription Bank. Celia became the office manager and they worked together for several years. Her interests lay in Stained Glass Art, and numerous beautiful large windows can be found in Fairfield Glade, and churches in the Crossville area.

Following her husband’s death, she remained at Fairfield Glade until her health required her to move to Cookeville to be closer to her family. Her last five years have been spent at the NHC Healthcare Cookeville facility where she received excellent and loving care from the staff of the 400 Hall.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Price (Earl T. Price) of Sparta, TN, and three sons, Christopher Sieber (Gail Andrews Sieber) of Lewisville, TX; Daniel A. Sieber (Yasmine Askew Sieber) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Joseph A. Sieber (Julie Coleman Sieber) of Port Saint Joe, Florida, and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Sieber, and infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sieber, her parents, and grandparents, one brother, Carl Krinbill, and sister Eleanor Colyer.
